Surface drill rigs are used for blast hole drilling in construction, quarrying, and open-pit mining, covering a hole range between 27-229 mm. We offer the widest range of surface drilling equipment on the market, classified into four main product families. They range from the most advanced and automated hydraulic drilling rigs within the SmartROC family, to the versatile FlexiROC family, to the robust PowerROC family, and lastly to the pneumatic drill rigs within the AirROC family.
Epiroc surface drilling machines are equipped with world class components including Epiroc rock drills. Epiroc drill rigs can be fitted with a large number of optional equipment, such as Hole Navigation System (HNS) for parallel holes to the correct depth and Rod Handling System (RHS) which eliminates manual handling of drill pipes and rods. Also, Epiroc offer drilling tools for all of our surface drill rigs.

The AirROC D50 is a rugged drill rig which can navigate steep climbs and rough terrain with ease. The Atlas Copco air compressor ensures fast and efficient drilling. Servicing is quick and easy, requiring just one person. The AirROC D50 is suitable for limestone, aggregate quarries, surface mining applications and construction. The rig can be interchanged between Down-The-Hole and tophammer drilling to meet different application needs. AirROC D50 is easy to transport due to its compact dimensions. A low center of gravity makes the machine very stable.

Surface drill rig for open pit mining and aggregate quarrying.
The AirROC T35 is ideally suited in open pit mines and stone quarries. The AirROC T35 track drill has the tramming and drilling controls easily accessed over the left hand track. A guide extension adjusts the guide foot ensuring optimal ground contact on slopes and rough terrain. The AirROC T35 is equipped with the VL 140 rock drill. It can drill holes up to 102 mm diameter in open pit mining and stone quarrying. The rig can be interchanged between Down-The-Hole and tophammer to meet different application needs. AirROC T35 is easy to transport due to fixed boom length and drill width. The low center of gravity gives it high stability and ease of operation.

BenchREMOTE
Remote operator station for surface mining operations.
BenchREMOTE is a unique remote operator station. It's available in two versions featuring different control systems. SmartROC D65, SmartROC D60, SmartROC D55 and SmartROC D50 machines can be controlled with one version. SmartROC C50, SmartROC CL and SmartROC T45 long feed are controlled by the other version. The BenchREMOTE enables operators to do their job from a safe distance. It can remotely handle not just one rig, but up to three rigs in parallel. This takes productivity to a new level.
