The Epiroc range of Robbins raise boring machines includes models for raiseboring, boxhole boring, and down reaming.
Underground boring drills for boxhole boring and shaft drilling
Epirocâs range of raise boring machines includes models for both conventional raise and boxhole boring as well as down reaming and it covers diameters from 0.5 meters up to over 6 meters. The boring drills are used in both civil engineering and mining applications for drilling shafts for ventilation, drainage, ore passes, back fills, hoisting, slotholes, and penstocks for hydro power plants.
Features include drill pipe handling for easy and safe pipe handling as well as the computerized Rig Control System, RCS, which improves drilling accuracy, equipment reliability, and serviceability of the raise boring machines.
Safety underground
To reduce fatigue and maximize uptime, operators can control the boring drill rig remotely from a safe and comfortable setting above ground.

The standard in raise boring
Raise boring machines from Epiroc have been setting the industry standard for more than fifty years. They continue to lead thanks to outstanding equipment design and excellent quality. Epiroc boring drills include only premium components, and all Robbins machines come with a 12-month (2,000 hour) warranty. Epiroc strives to construct high-quality machines that are easy to set up, operate and maintain.
Epiroc Rig Control System
As early as 1998, Epiroc introduced its Rig Control System (RCS) â a computerized control system for drilling rigs that stunned the market. More than 3,000 RCS rigs are currently in operation the world over. Long experience and an ongoing dialogue with customers have resulted in increasingly sophisticated functions â with expertise that makes Epiroc uniquely qualified to drive development in the industry.

Robbins 92R
Raiseboring machine for holes ranging from 2.4 to 6.0 m in diameter.
These machines are built to serve and built to last.
Robbins 92R is a raiseboring machine for holes ranging from 2.4 to 6.0 m (8-20 ft.) in diameter. This large rig can be relied on in a variety of applications. With a modular design for easy transport, this powerful rig is ideal when weight or size limitations are a concern. At Epiroc, we strive to construct high-quality machines that are easy to set up, operate and maintain â and our Robbins 92R raiseboring rig is no exception. This machines is built to serve and built to last.
Mobile raiseboring machine for medium to large size drifts. Easer L is available with diesel or battery driveline.
Easer L can be relied on to drill holes with greater power and efficiency.
Designed to drill opening holes in block cave, sub level caving and sub level stoping mines, this versatile raiseboring rig can also be used for precondition holes, pastefill tube holes and media holes. The rig works in drifts from 4.7x4.7 to 6.0x6.0 m. When drilling with a 750 mm diameter reamer, the Easer L can drill conventional holes up to 200 m and box holes and down reaming holes up to 60 m. The Easer L has the capability to drill angled holes in any direction with a minimum range of 90°â60° from horizontal.
Easer L features high versatility with both upwards and downwards drilling, but without the need of a concrete platform. Significantly less risk of "freezing" the ground thanks to the large diameter of the drill hole results in higher productivity. Thanks to the high accuracy of the mechanical rock excavation method, the hole deviation is less than 1%.
Epiroc is leading the change towards sustainability in mining through battery electric, zero-emission equipment. The result is a safer and healthier underground working environment. This contributes to a sustainable future and a smaller environmental footprint. It is a power change that changes everything.
Low-profile, lightweight raise drill rig for slot holes, back filling and narrow vein mining applications.
The highly versatile 34RH combines form and function to save you time and money.
Robbins 34RH is a low-profile raiseboring machine for holes ranging from 0.6 to 1.5 m (2-5 ft.) in diameter. The highly versatile 34RH combines form and function to save you time and money. Thanks to its small footprint, the rig requires a smaller drilling pad and fewer tie-down bolts. Incredibly effective in conventional raiseboring, as well as down reaming and upward boxhole boring, the Robbins 34RH is the most versatile raise drill rig on the market.
Low profile, lightweight raise rig for holes of smaller diameter.
This powerful Robbins machine can tackle most rock types to give you the power you need in tight spaces.
Robbins 34RH QRS is a low profile raiseboring machine for holes ranging from 0.72 to 1.2 m in diameter. This powerful Robbins machine can tackle most rock types to give you the power you need in tight spaces. Robbins 34RH QRS moves into position quickly and eliminates many of the time-consuming preparations necessary with traditional raiseboring machines. When access to the lower level in a mine is limited, Robbins 34RH QRS adds power and flexibility to your operations.
Robbins 44RH
Low profile and lightweight raiseboring machine for both civil engineering and mining applications.
Its compact design offers greater maneuverability without sacrificing high torque and thrust.
Robbins 44RH is a low profile and lightweight raiseboring machine for holes ranging from 1.0 to 1.8 m (3.5-6 ft.) in diameter. The rig has been optimized for low ceilings and holes up to 1.8 meters in diameter. With a height of only 3.25 m, the low-profile Robbins 44RH is designed to provide immense penetrating power in constricted work spaces.
