W Steel Strip

W steel strip, also called roof steel strip, is cold formed using high alloy plates, and composed of integral joints. Combined with bolt anchors, it is the best choice for weak rock and coal roof control. It is widely used in coal mines roadways, cuts and other roadway rock surrounds. It provides better holding power on unstable surrounding rocks.

Features

Technical characteristics (compared with ordinary steel):

  • Uses high strength steel alloy material.
  • Overall higher strength and rigidity.
  • W steel strip has 54x higher anti-bending section modulus.
  • W steel strip can be improve tensile strength 24 - 46% due to hardening effect in cold forming process.

Application
An overall bearing structure is formed by linking several dispersed bolts through the W steel strip, which significantly improves the integral effect of the bolt supports and provides a stronger result in incomplete roof rock.

Package
Steel or Fibre strapping.
Bundle sizes to suit the customer, generally packs of 20pcs.
