Hole Coat

A new high-tech liquid polymer vicosifier and fluid loss control product.

  • HOLE COAT is used to coat your borehole.
  • HOLE COAT is a highly concentrated product that rapidly develops into a very high viscosity fluid when mixed with water.
  • HOLE COAT provides viscosity yields 40-50% greater than conventional liquid polymers and can be used in fresh or brine water.
  • HOLE COAT is an excellent inhibitor against shales, clays, fractured zones, sand and blocky formations, and contaminants.
  • HOLE COAT is resistant to viscosity change under high water temperature conditions.
  • HOLE COAT reduces wear rate on the head of slide guides when used with Torqueless HDD.
  • HOLE COAT has superior shear resistant properties.

Suggested Dosage

The recommended mixture depending on water conditions would be:

  • 1 litre per 1000 litres of water
  • 1 quart per 250 gallons of water

More can be added at any time when a higher viscosity is required.

Squeeze Free

Multicharged viscosifier and shale clay saprolite kimberlite & talc stabilizer

  • SQUEEZE FREE is a multi-charged dry or liquid viscosifier and formation stabilizer specifically for use in areas plagued with shale and clay instability problems. Due to its ionic charges, Squeeze Free is absorbed directly onto shales and clays, thereby preventing the water damage that causes hole instability. Once absorbed onto the formation, the stabilizing effect imparted by Squeeze Free – HDD will remain resistant to any chemical changes in overall mud properties caused by varying geological and drilling conditions. Squeeze Free’s effectiveness is enhanced when used with Torqueless and Hole Coat . Squeeze Free holds your hole open longer thus reducing bit and rod wear. Also acts as a flocculant to assist in bringing your cuttings out.

Suggested Dosage

Recommended mixture would be 1 litre of product per 1000 litres of water (1 quart – 250 gallons), depending on water conditions. More or less product can be used at anytime as hole conditions require.

One Shot

An all dry powder polymer with triple action to cover most drilling problems. This product is specially formulated to respond to clay, sand and unconsolidated geological formations. This product increases viscosity and imparts excellent stabilization and fluid loss properties.

  • ONE SHOT increases the meters drilled per shift.
  • ONE SHOT has effectively stopped water sands from collapsing into the bore hole.
  • ONE SHOT eliminates the need to use multiple products, thus reducing disposal problems and immense transportation costs.
  • ONE SHOT works with TORQUELESS and does not require a complicated multi-component mud system.
  • ONE SHOT builds a matrix tying sands and gravels together thus stabilizing the borehole and maximizing productivity.
  • ONE SHOT due to its ionic charges it is absorbed directly into shales and clays, thereby preventing the water damage that causes hole instability.
  • ONE SHOT is blended to allow gentle flocking of the cuttings in the floc tank when required

Suggested Dosage

ONE SHOT should always be premixed with TORQUELESS, the recommended ratio is one part ONE SHOT to two parts TORQUELESS. The ONE SHOT premix is then introduced into the mixing system with water.

Sand Seal

A unique blend of synthetic polymers providing a drilling fluid capable of stabilizing the most difficult sand conditions. Due to smooth bore hole, rod and bit wear are drastically reduced.

Suggested Dosage

SAND SEAL ½ litre – 1 litre of product per 1000 l of water, (1/2 – 1qt – 250 gallons). Shifting sands may require a stronger dosage.

Gravel Stop

An environmentally safe, very high molecular weight, powdered viscosifierthat can be used in either fresh or brine water. It is used consistently in HDD drilling.

  • GRAVEL STOP imparts excellent viscosity yield. It is a superior product for stabilization in
    overburden, sand and gravel areas.
  • GRAVEL STOP is effective in drilling conditions where groundwater temperatures exceed 150° F.
  • GRAVEL STOP is the preferred mix in winter conditions (powder).
  • GRAVEL STOP reduces DTH Torque due to its excellent holding power.
  • GRAVEL STOP reduces transportation costs for drilling because of its concentrated nature.
  • GRAVEL STOP combined with Torqueless HDD reduces lost casing.

Suggested Usage

The recommended dosage of GRAVEL STOP is 1 litre of product per 1000 litres of water. (1 quart – 250 gallons) Can be blended in existing systems to greatly enhance viscosity.

Clay Break

A drilling fluids thinner which lowers fluid viscosity and gel strengths of all conventional drilling fluids

Great for eliminating in hole mud rings

  • CLAY BREAK drilling fluids thinner is an environmentally safe, synthetic organic liquid polymer which lowers mud viscosity and gel strengths of all conventional water based drilling muds. CLAY BREAK also aids in filtration control and can be used to overcome differential sticking of rods as well as treating mud rings.
  • CLAY BREAK best followed with Torqueless to prevent re-establishment of bit balling and mud rings.

Suggested Dosage

  1. FOR DIFFERENTIAL STICKING: Mix a slug of CLAY BREAK in a 1:3 ratio with water. Pump slug down rods and back up annulus to area of sticking. Apply torque and tension to rods. If rods do not come free immediately, allow at least one hour for product to work. If not free in one hour, repeat the above procedure using a slightly higher concentration of product.
  2. FOR GENERAL THINNING: Due to drilling fluid composition and drilling conditions, these dosages may vary.
    2 cups of CLAY BREAK to 250 gallons of water
    ½ litre of CLAY BREAK to 1000 litres of water.

ES Thread Compound

An environmentally safe vegetable oil based replacement for the present pipe dopes that contain heavy metals and petroleum carriers

  • THREAD COMPOUND ES’s unique formulation provides excellent protection against thread wear, galling and seizing for tool joints, drill collars and rotary shouldered connections.
  • THREAD COMPOUND ES is free of both petroleum oil carriers and all heavy metals, such as lead, zinc, copper, aluminium, etc.
  • THREAD COMPOUND ES is highly resistant to water wash off.
  • THREAD COMPOUND ES is ideal for mineral exploration drilling projects wheresamples uncontaminated by heavy metals are required, and groundwater contamination is of concern to the mining company.
  • THREAD COMPOUND ES should be a preferred thread compound for all drilling applications including water wells etc.
  • THREAD COMPOUND ES protects inner and outer connections on reverse circulation drill pipe (inner o-rings and thread connections).
