Core-Wrap

An environmentally safe unique blend of powdered polymers designed to reduce costs while retrieving maximum core potential in unconsolidated formations.

  • CORE-WRAP minimizes the requirements of multiple products for changing ground conditions.
  • CORE-WRAP is effective in drilling conditions where bore hole stabilization is a concern.
  • CORE-WRAP can be used in most ground conditions.
  • CORE-WRAP improves core recovery in unconsolidated formations.
  • CORE-WRAP mixed with Torqueless improves penetration rates and drastically reduces in-hole torque.
  • CORE-WRAP is an overall cost-effective core recovery drilling fluid.

Suggested Dosage

For optimal performance, Core-Wrap should always be premixed with Torqueless before adding it to the mixing tank. Recommended ratio is one part Core-Wrap to two parts Torqueless. Mix for 10 – 12 minutes depending on your mixing system. Best mixed when water is at a pH of 8-10.
Per 1,000 liters / 250 gallons water

  • 1L Core-Wrap = 2L Torqueless
  • 2L Core-Wrap = 4L Torqueless

Suggested Dosage

The recommended starting dosage of SAND-XPRESS is from:

  • 2-4 litres per 1000 litres of water.
  • 2-4 quarts per 250 gallons of water.

Sand-Xpress

An environmentally safe DSPA (Dry Suspended Polyacrylamide).Add to water to create a drilling fluid designed to reduce the difficulties of drilling unconsolidated formations while achieving maximum potential performance and core recovery in sands and gravels.

  • SAND-XPRESS is a unique DSPA providing a drilling fluid capable of stabilizing and maximizing the encapsulation of core recovery in the most difficult sand and gravel conditions.
  • SAND-XPRESS imparts excellent viscosity yield. It is a superior product for borehole stabilization and encapsulation of solids.
  • SAND-XPRESS eliminates the need to use Bentonite, thus reducing disposal problems and immense transportation costs.

  • TORQUELESS is non-sheening when accidentally introduced into a water course.
    TORQUELESS inhibits swelling of clay like materials such as saprolites, talcs & kimberlites which in turn eliminates bit balling.
  • TORQUELESS is extremely effective for lubricating down hole motors and eliminating magnetization of drill rods.
  • TORQUELESS protects drill rod wear when using wedges in diamond drilling.
  • TORQUELESS increases tool joint life by reducing torque in the hole.

Depending upon drilling conditions and hole depth:

  • 4-6 litres per 1000 litres of water
  • 4-6 quarts per 250 gallons or water

SAND-DRILL should always be premixed with TORQUELESS, the recommended ratio is one part SAND-DRILL to two parts TORQUELESS. The SAND-DRILL premix is then introduced in the mixing system with water.

The recommended dosage is from:

1-3 litres SAND-DRILL per 1000 litres of water.

Sand Drill

DD 2000

An environmentally safe dry powdered polymer. DD 2000 is mixed with Torqueless and water to create a very high viscosity drilling fluid used for removal of cuttings and continuous borehole wall conditioning.

  • DD 2000 is an environmentally safe, very high molecular weight, powdered viscosifier that can be used in either fresh or brine water.
  • DD 2000 imparts excellent viscosity yield. It is a superior product for borehole stabilization and encapsulation of solids.
  • DD 2000 is effective in drilling conditions where borehole temperatures exceed 150° F.
  • DD 2000 reduces transportation costs for drilling because of its concentrated nature.
  • DD 2000 combined with Torqueless enhances your core recovery and penetration rates

DD 955

DD 955 LIQUID

A multi-charged liquid formation stabilizer for use with shale and clay reducing inhole swelling and instability problems.

Due to its ionic charges, DD 955 is absorbed directly into shales and clays, thereby preventing the water damage that causes loss of core and hole stability.
Once absorbed into the formation, the stabilizing effect imparted by DD 955 will remain resistant to any chemical changes in overall mud properties caused by varying geological and drilling conditions.
DD 955 effectiveness is enhanced when used with Torqueless.

Suggested Dosage

  • 1 litre DD 955 per 1000 litres of water.
  • 1 quart DD 955 per 250 gallons of water.

Quantity may be increased for more difficult areas.
Due to water composition and drilling conditions, these dosages may vary.

Added Benefit

Should a flocculent be necessary this product can be used in this application.

DD 955 POWDER

A multi-charged viscosifier and formation stabilizer specifically for use in areas plagued with shale and clay instability problems.

Added Benefit

Should a flocculent be necessary this product can be used in this application.

DD Xpand

Environmentally safe loss circulation and plug material

  • DD XPAND(Coarse) can be used as a plug/pill application to shut off water flows and voids.
  • DD XPAND(Coarse) allows drilling through highly fissured and fractured formations.
  • DD XPAND(Fine) can be used while drilling to assist in minimizing water loss.

Suggested Dosage

  • DD XPAND (Coarse) when introduced to water will expand 50 to 100 times its size. (Great for plugs)
  • DD XPAND (Fine) add ½ litre to a 1000 litre fluid tank to assist in fluid loss.

DD Xpress

Ultra Vis

An easy to mix highly concentrated liquid polymer. Mixed with Torqueless and water creating a high viscosity drilling fluid used for removal of cuttings and continuous borehole wall conditioning.

  • ULTRAVIS is a highly concentrated liquid that rapidly develops into a very high viscosity fluid when mixed with water.
  • ULTRAVIS provides viscosity yields 40-50% greater than conventional liquid polymers, and can be used in fresh or brine water.
  • ULTRAVIS is an excellent inhibitor against shales, clays, fractured zones, sand and blocky formations, and contaminants.
  • ULTRAVIS is resistant to viscosity change under high water temperature conditions and has superior shear resistant properties
  • ULTRAVIS as in all polymers this product is enhanced with the use of Torqueless.

Suggested Dosage

  • 1-3 litres of Ultravis per 1000 litres of water.
  • 1-3 quarts of Ultravis per 250 gallons of water.

Dependent on water and drilling conditions, however up to 50% less ULTRAVIS will be required than conventional liquid polymers.

DD 605L

A drilling fluids thinner which lowers fluid viscosity and gel strengths of all conventional drilling fluids. Great for eliminating in hole mud rings.

  • DD 605L drilling fluids thinner is an environmentally safe, synthetic organic liquid polymer which lowers mud viscosity and gel strengths of all conventional water based drilling muds.
  • DD 605L also aids in filtration control and can be used to overcome differential sticking of rods as well as treating mud rings.
  • DD 605L best followed with Torqueless to prevent re-establishment of bit balling and mud rings.

Suggested Dosage

FOR DIFFERENTIAL STICKING: Mix a slug of DD 605L in a 1:3 ratio with water. Pump slug down rods and back up annulus to area of sticking. Apply torque and tension to rods. If rods do not come free immediately, allow at least one hour for product to work. If not free in one hour, repeat the above procedure using a slightly higher concentration of product.
FOR GENERAL THINNING: Due to drilling fluid composition and drilling conditions, these dosages may vary.

  • 2 cups of DD 605L to 250 gallons of water
  • ½ litre of DD 605L to 1000 litres of water.

ES Thread Compound

An environmentally safe vegetable oil based replacement for the present pipe dopes that contain heavy metals and petroleum carriers

  • THREAD COMPOUND ES’s unique formulation provides excellent protection against thread wear, galling and seizing for tool joints, drill collars and rotary shouldered connections.
  • THREAD COMPOUND ES is free of both petroleum oil carriers and all heavy metals, such as lead, zinc, copper, aluminium, etc.
  • THREAD COMPOUND ES is highly resistant to water wash off.
  • THREAD COMPOUND ES is ideal for mineral exploration drilling projects wheresamples uncontaminated by heavy metals are required, and groundwater contamination is of concern to the mining company.
  • THREAD COMPOUND ES should be a preferred thread compound for all drilling applications including water wells etc.
  • THREAD COMPOUND ES protects inner and outer connections on reverse circulation drill pipe (inner o-rings and thread connections).
