First Break Mining
Rotary blast hole rigs
DM45 / DM50
Powerful rotary tricone and down the hole hammer drill for 140mm -225mm (5-1/2” to 8-7/8”) holes.
A legend in the drilling industry
The DM45/50 along with their big brother, the DML, are some of the most popular drills in the world for good reason. All three models have proven themselves in almost every mining condition to deliver productivity, reliability, and low operating cost year after year.
Look to the DM series of drills for the best value in quality, productivity and reliability to achieve your blasthole drilling objectives.
The robust DM45/50 mainframe and tower design ensure a high asset life even in some of the toughest mining conditions. The double cut structural tower lacing ensures a strong tower structure without the added weight of less efficient designs.
A spacious one piece FOPS (Falling Object Protective Structure) rated cab with electric over hydraulic controls that are common with the DM30 II and DML make the DM45/50 easy to operate, especially for drillers who have experience in other DM series machines.
For single pass applications the DM45/50 can achieve a clean hole depth of 8.5 m (27.4 ft) and for multi pass depth can achieve depths of up to 53.3 m (175 ft).
When more air and pulldown are required, the DM45 evolves into a DM50 to give added flexibility to the larger hole sizes in the DM45/50 range.
