Quality controlled cable bolting with high productivity
The unique two-boom concept of Epiroc's cable bolting rigs makes it possible for a single operator to drill and install cable simultaneously.
The rig is capable of installing cable bolts with lengths up to 25 meters. Its computerized Rig Control System, RCS, includes functions such as one-hole automatics for high productivity and fully adjustable drill parameters for optimal drill quality and drill steel economy.
Safety
The cable bolting rigs from Epiroc offers excellent operator safety and ergonomics thanks to the FOPS certified protection roof or optional cabin, with full mechanization of the drilling, grouting and cable pushing processes. All operations are performed from within the operator station. Therefore, exposure of the operator to heavy lifting, unsafe ground, and other hazards are significantly reduced.
Quality
With cable bolting rigs from Epiroc, both drilling and grout mixing quality are assured. Single hole automatic drilling with precise positioning sensors will ensure that the hole is drilled where it was planned and to the depth required. Load cells and programmable mixing ratios will guarantee the correct grout consistency that is required to achieve the necessary load transfer from the rock mass to the bolting cable.

Cabletec E
A fully mechanized cable bolting drill rig for drilling and installation of cable bolts up to 25 m in length.
The fully mechanized drilling system of Cabletec E is taken from the well proven production drill rig Simba ME7. The machine has 1 000 kg of dry cement and approximately 1 700 m of 15.2 mm diameter bolting cable storage capacity. With a hole diameter range of 51–76 mm and 32 m mechanized drilling hole depth, Cabletec E can also be used as a secondary production drill rig.

The Cabletec L is a fully mechanized cable bolting machine optimized for medium to large sized tunnel profiles from 4.5m x 4.5m up to a maximum drilling boom reach height of 8m. This robust bolting machine offers a large saving in labour and equipment costs with two booms, one dedicated to drilling, and one for grout and cable installation. Automated cleaning of the mixing unit and grout injection hose optimize equipment availability. The Cabletec L is amongst the most advanced and productive fully mechanized cable bolting rig in its size class.

The fully mechanized drilling system of Cabletec M is taken from the well proven production drill rig Simba S7. The machine has 500 kg of dry cement and approximately 775 m of 15.2 mm diameter bolting cable storage capacity. With a hole diameter range of 51–76 mm and 20 m mechanized drilling hole depth, Cabletec M can also be used as a secondary production drill rig..

Cabltec SL features full mechanization of the drilling, grouting and cable installation process. The quality control with automatic mixing for the cement grout and data recording functionality, ensures the right mix every time. It has excellent maneuverability and carrier commonality thanks to the low profile design which complements other low profile equipment like Boomer S1 L which is built on the same carrier.
The ultra short COP 628 rock drill allows a reduced total feed length needed for low profile operations. The machine has 150 kg of dry cement and approximately 150 m of 15.2 mm diameter bolting cable storage capacity.
