Their range includes models suitable for roof heights from 1.8 to 13 meters. Features include a screen handling arm for installation of wire mesh, the computerized Rig Control System (RCS) for positioning, drilling and bolting, and the COP RR11 and COP RR14 hydraulic rock drills which are specially designed for bolt-hole drilling.
Other features are Automatic Resin Injection, Automatic Cement System, Bolt Plan Navigation and Lift and Tilt Cabin.

Epiroc's main focus is safety and bolt installation quality. Operator safety and comfort are ensured with the standard and optional features of the Boltec rigs. Mechanized bolting typically holds a much higher installation quality and consistency than manual or semi-mechanized installation. Bolt angles, bolt spacing, controlled grout ratios, installation pressures, and bolt numbers are just some of the data that can be collected or recorded.
Easy maintenance and service
The rock bolting rigs from Epiroc have an open service architecture. The four-wheel drive carrier of the Boltec E is the same as on the Simba M/E and the Boomer M/E rigs, resulting in easy and effective service and maintenance.

The Boltec 235 is a direct hydraulic-controlled bolting rig designed to give you flexible bolting options in medium scale operations. This rig offers optimal mechanized bolt installation with the ability to use most rock bolt types, including Swellex, SplitSet, rebar, resin cartridges, mechanical anchor and more. Productivity is increased with a fast and constant bolting cycle, stable bolting, and a safer working environment. Boltec E is a fully mechanized rock bolting rig suitable for installation of a range of bolt types from 2.4 to 6 meters in length. Developed for medium to large sized tunnel profiles, it can install bolts in roof heights up to 13 meters.
The optimized bolting unit with reduced feed length gives potential for reduced drive sizes whilst retaining the same bolt lengths used previously. Rock drills are optimized for bolt hole drilling with the options of COP RR11 and COP RR14. Boltec E has an open service architecture and is easy to maintain. The four-wheel drive carrier is the same as on Simba M/E and Boomer M/E machines.

Boltec M is capable of handling most bolt types between 1.5 and 3.5m, including friction, inflatable, mechanically anchored and rebar bolts.
The Boltec M is a fully mechanized bolting rig optimized for medium sized tunnel profiles from 4m x 4m up to a maximum boom reach height of 9m. Smaller bolt hole diameters are required for rock bolting. The COP 1132 (11kW)and optional COP 1435 (14kW) rock drills are specifically designed for this type of drilling. The Boltec SL is a low profile mechanized bolting machine built for low-seam mining in headings as low as 1.8-2.2m. For maximum production in low profile bolting applications, the COP 628 rock drill delivers 6kW of output power. Fully mechanized single bolt installation, and the unique bolt loading system makes bolting safer and easier. To keep spare parts holding to a minimum, the Boltec SL shares a high degree of carrier commonality with the Boomer S1 profile face drilling machine.
