Wireline core drilling systems are used for medium to ultra-deep boreholes, which provides the most efficient core sample extraction from the rock mass without pulling the entire drill string. The rock sample is removed from the bottom of the hole in the inner tube assembly by an overshot on a wireline cable.

Optimized bit matrices and crown profiles
Epiroc engineered new matrices and optimized crown profiles by calculating the right balance between variables with exceptional penetration rates, as well as extended service life in the toughest of drilling conditions. At the same time we tested new materials to bring bit performance to a higher level. The latest result of such testing is our new Azure matrix, proven to drill exceptionally well through the entire range of medium to hard formations.
Improved performance for reaming shells
Epiroc's re-engineered heavy duty (HD) reaming shell gained new grounds with extended service life and improved material quality. The reaming shell serves as an important back up for the coring bit. By using the reaming shell you avoid having your drill string stuck in the hole or having to ream out the hole after bit change. The new HD shell proves it quality even when used in the most challenging ground conditions.
Terracore – economical alternative to our premium impregnated drill bits
In some cases our customers don't need a top of the line drill bit. This is especially true when they have to drill in extremely tough conditions, in shallow depths where ground abrasion can destroy which ever bit they use. For such situations we offer our Terracore core drilling bit, an economical version of our diamond impregnated drill bit. The other option for drilling in soft ground is our tungsten carbide bit.

Excore casings and rod shoes are manufactured to handle a broad range of conditions, from unconsolidated overburden to broken, abrasive formations.
JET26
Significantly extended bit life
Modified to provide an extremely robust 26mm design which prevents crown segments from snapping off in the hole. The JET26 crown extend JET bit life significantly to much greater depths compared to our JET and Torpedo V 13 and 16mm core drilling bits which are know for high penetration rates.
Be amazed at the performance
The JET26 profile is to be used in competent and non-abrasive/slightly abrasive formations. The profile continues drilling without or less rod tripping and tooling changes. Available in selected sizes and matrices.
Impregnated locking couplings
To reduce hole deviation and/or increase drilling tool life, good core barrel stabilization is important. Besides the reaming shell, the locking coupling is a key component for good barrel stabilization.
Standard steel locking couplings may wear prematurely in abrasive and/or broken conditions.
Epiroc's diamond impregnated locking couplings with full hole body will dramatically increase the life of the tool; keeping nominal gauge for a very long time.
